Shalom Shalom Salaam Salaam Peace in Israel Peace in Palestine Shalom means peace Salaam means peace Let us pray for peace Peace in the Middle East Shalom Shalom Salaam Salaam Shalom Shalom Salaam Salaam Shalom Alechem Alechem Shalom Salaam Alekum Alekum Salaam Shalom and Salaam from the Semitic languages, Hebrew and Arabic derive from the Aramaic word for peace, Shlama, and surely hold a seed encodement for the potential of unity between Muslims, Jews and Christians. Even though this seed seems so deeply buried in the darkest dark right now, it is a seed nonetheless. And seeds, watered with our heartfelt prayers and intentions for peace, can become mighty oaks. I wrote this song in 2010 after taking part in a project in Jerusalem with the Abrahamic Reunion, a group of Muslim, Jewish and Christian peacemakers dedicated to building bridges and understanding in the Holy Land. Let's envision the highest intention for peace and protection to cover those lands.
