Kyouko Hori (堀京子, Hori Kyōko?) is the female protagonist of Horimiya. She is a student of Class 3-1 in Katagiri Senior High School. Kyouko is a beautiful girl who stands above average height. She has long, wavy chestnut brown hair with bangs that are swept to the right side, and big golden-brown eyes. Her overall appearance greatly resembles her mother, Yuriko Hori, during her high school years. (According to her father, Kyousuke). When seen in school, she usually allows her hair to fall loose
