Outside of GT, dragonball endings don’t feel like endings. There's a lot of talk about when DragonBall was meant to end and most of it is baseless. But if Toriyama had chosen to end the series with Gohan finally surpassing Goku & destroying everything that came before by defeating Cell, I couldn't think of a better end
