Katherine Von Schwarzschild (Full Birth Name: Katerina Von Schwarzschild) was a major antagonist of The Vampire Diaries novel series. She was born on June 5th 1477 in Germany. Katherine is the only child of Baron Friedrich Von Schwarzschild and the oldest child of Elizabeth Gilbert (nee Morrow). She is the older maternal half-sister of Elena Gilbert and Margaret Gilbert.
