Vojvodina is one of the nineteen subdivisions of Pannonia. It borders the Great Plains to the North, Slavonia to the West, Serbia to the South and Southern Transylvania to the East. The state's capital and largest city is Újvidék. The official language in the region is Serbian, however other languages such as German, Hungarian and Romanian are also spoken by a large amount of people.
