Caregiving / Healthcare Support Services with AMCA

The Caregiving / Healthcare Support Services with AMCA program at Bartmore Technical College is a comprehensive hybrid course that integrates Kenya’s competency-based TVET framework with international certification standards. This program combines the TVET CDACC Healthcare Support Services (Caregiving) curriculum with the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician Certification (PCTC).

This dual approach equips learners with both globally recognized certification and locally accredited competencies, preparing graduates for employment in diverse healthcare settings locally and internationally.

This course is designed to train entry-level healthcare professionals who provide essential care and support under the supervision of licensed nurses and other healthcare practitioners. Graduates gain practical skills, professional ethics, and hands-on experience required in hospitals, nursing homes, home-based care, and community health environments.

Upon successful completion, graduates will receive duo certification:

  • TVET CDACC Certification in Healthcare Support Services (Caregiving) – nationally accredited
  • AMCA Certification (Nurse Assistant Certification / Patient Care Technician Certification) – internationally recognized
