The Healthcare Support Services level 5 and Caregiving Level 4 courses also internationally referred to as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Assistant
Certification (NAC) course in Kenya is an entry level program for healthcare professionals offered by Bartmore Technical College, and accredited by TVET-CDACC. Students wishing to take external certifications have an option of taking the American Medical Certification Association(AMCA) certification at Bartmore Technical College which is an examination center for AMCA. Healthcare Support Services officers/Caregivers will provide or assist with basic care or support performing duties such as monitoring of health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or ambulation of patients in a health or nursing facility. May include medication administration and other health-related tasks. Healthcare Support Services/Caregiving are also internationally known as Nursing Assistants, nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants. Course requirements:

Healthcare Support Services level 5: KCSE grade of D(plain) and above

Caregiving level 4: KCSE grade of E or D-

Course Duration:

Healthcare Support Services Level 5: 4 terms of coursework + 1 term in hospital/facility placement)

Caregiving level 4: 2 terms of coursework + 1 term in hospital/facility placement)

Fees: Tuition fees of Ksh.22,500 per term | Practical fees: Ksh. 5,000 | Uniforms: Ksh.6000 for 2 pairs of scrubs.
